Sappi offers a one-year internship opportunity for recent graduates with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering. This program provides hands-on, meaningful experience in overseeing civil maintenance at a mill under the guidance of skilled mentors, helping candidates transition smoothly into the professional world.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, roads, walkways, and water channels
• Plan and oversee the implementation of repairs and civil maintenance
• Assist with determining quantities of materials to be ordered
• Monitor work of civil contractors, particularly local supplier development beneficiaries
• Instruct contractors on safety and work procedures

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric qualification
• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or BTech in Civil Engineering or the Built Environment
• No prior experience required
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
